Baby Ellie and Family

Seems like I'm going on a baby shooting spree lately...figuratively speaking of course. This time, the request to have baby memories came from Ivan and Winnie. Truth be told, this is my first shoot of other people's kid other then my family's. And it was a chance to test my prowess with my spanking new Nikon 35mm lens, which I purposely bought for this shoot.

We started the shoot with some shots inside the house before moving outdoors.

It was tough getting this kid to smile today. She was grumpy as hell. Even my dirty jokes don't work on her. :p
Nevertheless, we tried our best. I had a host of backup entertainers working to make her crack!

Only Mummy manage to make her smile...somewhat.

The "NooOoo....I'm a girl....." look :p

We moved back indoors when the sun came high.

WARNING! LOTS OF CUTENESS AHEAD.

What's a shoot without some mono, right?

Ivan and Winnie, it was a pleasure working with you. Thanks for the chance to shoot your family and to let me have an excuse to buy a new lens. :) Maybe we can do it again next time when Ellie turns 3 and actually understand my dirty jokes. I'm kidding. :)

Leia at Home

This is my second niece, Leia at 4 months old...when cuteness comes into play, and the drooling never ends.

With Mommy.

And Daddy...

The great thing about having nieces is the chance to dote on these adorable little people without having to go through the messy stuff.

Look at me, gushing like a lil old aunty...can't help it...

PEEKABOO!

Your so cute now aren't you. Yes, you are....oh yes, you..ok stopping now.

Lisa, Laura and Hunter

A session with the twins and their new Husky puppy, Hunter. Taking shots with animals is always a testy thing. When it's not trying to lick your lens its always running around making portrait shots of it really difficult. Nevertheless, got quite a few, very good shots. You can tell Lisa and Laura are truly in love with this dog. It has the most BLUEST eyes I've ever seen.

Take good care of Hunter girls. Maybe I can take it sledding next time. Kidding!

Rainforest World Music Festival 2009

This year's mud fest continues on. Only managed to get a few good shots of the performers as the stage this year wasn't "photo-friendly".

Moana & The Tribe from New Zealand

They did the typical New Zealander Haka performances, with the body slapping and the hanging tongue.

Real mean looking...

Personally, I find their moves somewhat amusing.

Such as this:

The guy has a bad case of the cooties!

This guy was licking his chops! Was he eating something up there?!?

All in all, a good performance by them.

Jeff & Vida from the USA

A real life Redneck.

Lone Fisherman

Sunsets in HDR

Did a few shoots of sunsets by directly (and daringly) shooting into the glare. Composed of 4 different exposures and converted to HDR in CS3. Adjustment on color correction, white balance and levels.
